Strategy and Planning

Strategy extends beyond technology to include people and process.
Digital health usually flounder for one of two reasons. First is because technology is the singular focal point. Second is because it does not align with the organization’s broader strategic goals and priorities.

Digital health is not just about technology. It is about the how people, process, information, and technology come together. It is about giving people the information they need to make good decisions and wise investments. It is about helping them use the technology to do what they do better.

Digital health is there to serve a purpose -- not just because it is cool or innovative. Digital health needs to align with the stakeholders' broader clinical or administrative priorities so that it can support those priorities.  It also needs to align with the broader regional or provincial health and digital health strategy so that the organization is able to make the most of their investment and participate fully in the broader health ecosystem.
