We are looking for Privacy Analysts to join our team!

MD+A Health Solutions (www.mdahealth.ca) is a boutique health systems consulting firm serving clients in Ontario and internationally since 1998. Our mission is to support healthcare organizations to increase access to healthcare services and improve the quality of care and health outcomes. 

Our team are recognized experts in health strategy, digital health, and health information privacy. We bring our deep knowledge of health systems and services, privacy legislation and policy, information governance and management, and digital health technologies to deliver customized consulting solutions that drive health systems transformation. 

MD+A is seeking a Privacy Analyst to work with our information privacy team. While educational and/or work experience in information privacy, technology and information management, health policy, or public administration would be ideal, we are more interested in working with people who are curious, self-learners, systems thinkers, and who are passionate about making a difference in health systems in Canada and globally. MD+A is willing to provide professional development training and mentorship to individuals with the right mix of analytical, communication, and organizational skills as well as a client-focused orientation who have an interest in pursuing a career in consulting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting research and preparing research briefs related to health information privacy and digital health.

  • Business analysis (such as documenting data flows or workflows, policy analysis, data analysis, etc.) that contribute to the development of client deliverables.

  • Preparing materials to support client meetings and engagements, such as agendas, background research, briefing notes, presentations, surveys, etc.

  • Project coordination, including developing and managing project schedules, coordinating activities within and among projects, and managing client communications.

  • Supporting the MD+A team in consulting engagements, including participating in client meetings and stakeholder workshops, summarizing meeting outcomes, and supporting workshop facilitation and delivery.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a related field would be of particular interest (e.g., information science, health informatics, or public policy administration), but we are open to all educational backgrounds with the right mix of complimentary interests and skills.

  • Interest in a developing a career in consulting, and willing to undertake professional development training and self-learning to improve knowledge and other skills related to our mission and services.

  • Self-management abilities are essential. Ability to multi-task and context-shift; ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team; energy and enthusiasm to be part of a growing organization working in a complex discipline.

  • Proven research and analysis skills, with high-level of comfort using basic data analysis tools such as spreadsheets, graphing tools, survey tools, and low-code environments.

  • Strong customer service orientation, with an ability to communicate comfortably with individuals at all seniority levels.

  • Strong written and presentation communication skills. 

Compensation to be commensurate with experience.
